New Natural Organic Lube That Puts The Slip Back Into Sex

Updated: Nov 27, 2023

Where to start on this topic? Well, it’s going to get a little personal, but let’s start with the why. Why were we hellbent on making a natural, organic lube that is not about moisture? Because moisture is not what good sex needs. Good sex needs slip.

See, when people say moisture, they're talking about water. So, yes, dry skin needs moisturizer. Fine. Water is not slippery in of itself, though. It lacks lubricity and it evaporates quickly, neither of which are winning qualities in a personal lubricant.

We wanted better and cleaner, and by better we mean we wanted a product that addresses the natural changes our bodies impose on our sex lives as we get older, and we wanted to do it with natural ingredients.

Vagifem, which is probably the most common go-to Rx for menopausal symptoms, and only does a mediocre job with sex, also has side effects such as: headache, breast pain, irregular vaginal bleeding or spotting, stomach/abdominal cramps, bloating, nausea and vomiting, hair loss, fluid retention, and vaginal yeast infections.

And then there is the Astroglide/KY family of products, which work initially, but end up getting sticky and feeling tacky to the touch. (Ew. Not sexy.) Of course, you have the chemicals in those as well – chemicals which we have no idea what they do to our bodies, organs and overall health. So we’re left with products that don’t really work, or that don’t go the distance, or that just don’t feel (or smell) that good, and all of that comes with an indeterminate amount of questionable ingredients and possible toxicity.

Every menopausal woman knows the shock when one day the sex she thought she was about to have, isn’t the sex she ends up having. While it’s totally normal, and we are always about respecting our bodies’ natural process, we also figured we could follow our guiding principles of clean, better and without any chemicals to come up with a product that could turn back the clock a little - at least in the bedroom.

It’s important to first appreciate that a dry vagina and painful sex are not mutually inclusive. There are a lot of “personal lubricants,” to help soothe dryness. To be clear, we are not making a lubricant to soothe dryness. We are making a lubricant to give you the slip and the slide that puts the fun in sex. And if we do say so ourselves, it’s pretty darn fantastic! Oh, and btw, it smells like chocolate 😋
